This customer wanted a maintenance-free siding that had a distinctive and natural look. We installed this shingle style siding in a Barn Red color which in combination with the existing brick gave the house a nice two-tone effect.

This house previously had a masonite or particle board type of siding. We have many times discovered rotted wood and carpenter ants behind this type of siding as it tends to absorb and hold moisture. We removed this siding, covered the walls with a waterproof house wrap, and then installed new vinyl siding and trim, greatly reducing the chances of future problems.
